A very rare and unusual example.
Most likely Made in the Stoke-on-Trent district of Staffordshire, England for the Irish Market.
Most likely sold by Samuel Alker of Westmorland Street, Dublin late 1790’s to early 1800’s
Excellent early red and blue transferware decoration with black hand painted accents, and black painted handles.
A Reticulated Edge Tray and a Reticulated Chestnut basket. It is very hard to find these in sets, and as well preserved as this one. beautiful transfer decoration and the best to find condition. this is one for the permanent collections.

Basket: 10 1/2″ by 6 1/2″ and 3″ tall
Tray: 9 1/2″ by 7 1/4″
Condition: 100% original as found condition. Excellent preserved condition, with no chips or cracks. Minor glaze wear, and minor age related marks.
