Antique art deco set of 5 Hex Optic, Cubist depression glass dinner plates, made by Jeannette. Jeannette Glass Co. manufactured the “Hex Optic Cube” pattern (AKA the “cubist” pattern”) from 1929 – 1933. The pattern has a geometric cubed faceting pattern radiating from a sunburst center. All of the details stand out on the pale lime green coloring! At 8″ in diameter these plates are perfect for serving up any of your favorite meals and mix in well with other dining room decor.
Jeannette Glass Company was started in 1898 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. They sold bottles for various drugs, drinks, food, and condiments, and then branched into pressed kitchenware in 1917. Jeannette Glass manufactured the most different patterns of Depression Glass during the 1920’s and 1930’s. They went out of business in 1983, so everything they made is a bit more valuable now.
